Introduction

  • A Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) with Linux / Windows

Feature

  • Windows 7 provided by Windows Server 2008 R2.

  • WorkSpaces are persistent.

  • Just create accounts, no need to select a Region, AMI.

  • Users don't need an AWS account to log in.

  • D drive is backed up every 12 hours

  • WorkSpaces Application Manager (WAM)

    • Deploy and manage applications as virtualized application containers

    • Provision at scale, and keep applications updated with WAM

  • Windows Updates

    • By default, WorkSpaces are configured to install software updates

    • Windows Update are truned on, can control the update frequency

  • Maintenance Windows

    • Updates are installed during Maintenance Windows (Defined by users)

    • By default: from 00:00~04:00 on Sunday

    • Automatically restart once a month to install updates

    • Can have manual maintenance definition
